First Day Update:

posted Sep 2, 2020, 2:09 PM by Bruce Bailey

We’re off to a great start at THMS and we’re proud of our great staff, students and families! It’s fantastic to have students back in our building and you’ve done a great job preparing them. Students are arriving with required masks and wearing them appropriately. They are taking responsibility for helping each other socially distance, with just occasional reminders. They are complying nicely with frequent hand sanitizing. Teachers are getting them outdoors for learning and team building activities with timely and distanced mask breaks.

As expected, we have lots of private riders this year and this morning we had quite a backup. We’ve asked that students are dropped off after 7:15 when our teachers are ready to supervise them in classrooms. Please let us know if this is problematic and we can work with you on a solution. It is helpful if you can pull as far forward as possible in the drop off circle, so that multiple cars can unload at once. Thank you for helping to keep things moving and safe and we appreciate your patience as we figure out the routine.

With gratitude and appreciation,

Bruce Bailey and Alta Seekins
